Premetro

The Premetro’s work was initiated on June 11th, 1986, on Av. Lafuente, and inaugurated on August 27, 1987. Premetro is the first line built on surface by Subterráneos de Buenos Aires; it coveres the area from Virreyes station to the Gral. Savio neighbourhood, former Lugano I and II, and the intersection between Av. Larrazabal and Coronel Roca.

Premetro is the only superficial line and through the combination with subway Line E, it unites the southern metropolitan neighbourhoods with the city’s centre. It has, up to date, an extension of 7.4 km and 16 stations.
